Entrance
When you visit the Arnot Art Museum, you will climb the wide front steps, cross under the four columns, and enter into the 1833 home of the Arnot family of Elmira. You will be greeted at the Guest Services desk where the friendly staff will orient you for your visit. While guided tours must be scheduled ahead of time, you will have the option to hear an introduction in the 1880's Picture Gallery which includes the history of the Arnot family and the Museum.

Visitor Policies

  • No touching is permitted. This includes frames, furniture, and walls.
  • No photography, food, or drink is permitted inside the Museum.
  • Visitors are kindly asked to leave large bags and purses in the coat room or with guest services.
  • Sketching is permitted in the galleries, but with pencil only. Ink of any kind is not permitted.
  • If you have scheduled a guided tour, please be sure to arrive promptly at your reserved time.
